Year 3 and Year 4 went to BASF on Monday, March 5th to pursue further the unit of Inquiry “sharing the planet”. We have been learning about the use of scientific methods and this field trip was a great way to investigate the ways in which we use water.
Learning Partners conducted three experiments: In one experiment, they found out that drinking water is lighter than sugar water and also salt water. The second experiment, Learning Partners made dirty water clean again. For the third experiment, students reviewed the positive influence of superabsorber powder in agriculture.
We all wanted to thank BASF for this amazing opportunity. We all appreciate it. The Learning Partners were able to be real scientists for the day!
